Conceptual illustration of the method

01

## Laboratory

One material is revealed through a system of differences. The original Brassica model sets four coordinates of an object: cabbage type, transformation, role and flavour axis.

02

## What can be explored

Nine Brassica types, thirteen transformations, twelve roles and seven flavour axes are available. Below you can assemble a key and see how the description of the research task changes.

03

## The boundary of the object

A research interface based on the surviving taxonomy is published. The recipe archive is not in the available folder; the selected combination is a research hypothesis, not a tested recipe.

## Assemble a research key

White cabbage → Fermentation → Base → Acid

The key sets the direction of research. It is not a cooking instruction.
