# Gastro Engineering

The menu as a choice interface: taxonomy, matrix, guest patterns and principles of choice.

## Research question

What changes when the menu becomes a designed system of choice and the guest is read as a carrier of preferences and contexts? The v3 material connects gastronomy, behaviour, analysis and design ethics.

## Four levels

Design object → research → zone of influence → zone of risk. This sequence helps to define the task before choosing a tool.

## The guest and boundaries

A pattern describes a situation, not a person for ever. Personalisation should help the choice. Data and algorithms complement professional judgement; taste and the relationship with the guest remain human work.
